Accidental Treasure

It’s miserably hot and there’s no relief in sight thanks to the hurricane that trounced 17-year-old Kate Taylor’s island paradise.  Between her aggravating epilepsy and an infatuation with her childhood friend, Kate’s had about all the frustration she can take.  Then she finds a box filled with treasure—none of which she’s allowed to keep.  But that doesn’t stop those who would steal it from her.

How far will Kate have to go to protect herself and her family?  What will it take to end this nightmarish reality?

She’d better act quickly, time is running out…

How did my life come to this?  My new boyfriend is acting like a jerk, my best girl friend is in love, and I am hopelessly-impossibly-stupidly in love, not with my boyfriend, with my best guy friend.  If that isn’t enough, there’s  something hidden in my closet that has someone out for my blood.  Top it all off with my stupid epilepsy and it’s no wonder I’m going insane!

It all began with a hurricane—well for me it did.  It really started over two hundred years ago.  But, as I’ve learned the hard way, nothing is ever what it seems.  Nothing ever turns out as I expect, either.

So, if that’s what you’re looking for—one of those predictable stories about perfect love and riding off into the sunset— you might as well move on.  Because with this story, you’ll never guess what will happen next.

Children by Design

…Why leave the most important decision in life to chance?

Law enforcement agencies throughout Florida have become concerned over the number of vicious crimes committed recently by teenagers.

Deeply disturbed by a horrifying vision of a crime committed by a classmate, sixteen-year-old Genesis Remiel contacts the local police.  Stunned by the accuracy of Gen’s details, the police investigate the information she’s given them and discover that Gen has an amazing gift, one that proves indispensable in catching these highly intelligent teen offenders.

Wordless voices buzzed from all around me.  There were hands coaxing, fingers testing, a frantic murmur next to my ear.

“Can you hear me?  It’s going to be okay.  Lie still.”

The hard floor of the stage pressed against my back.  A sharp, nauseating pain filled my head.

I opened my eyes and blinked rapidly, trying to clear the fog.  Panicked, worried, concerned faces loomed over me.  Everyone was speaking all at once.

But the boy…

The memories that were not my own flooded back.  I turned my head and searched the auditorium anxiously.  Even with my limited field of vision, I could see that he was gone.
